CLEANING BAMBOO FLOORING
 |
Proper maintenance and cleaning is the key to lasting beauty of bamboo flooring and for the most part is similar to maintenance for hardwood flooring. Regardless of how the floor has been finished, there are certain steps that are necessary to maintain the beauty of the bamboo floor.
- The floor shall be dust mopped, vacuumed or swept with a soft bristle broom daily
- Shake out, vacuum or wash mats and area rugs frequently
|
|
- Footprints and dirt should be wiped away with a moist cloth
- Wipe up liquid or food spills promptly with dry cloth or paper towels
- Remove sticky residue (like jelly) with a slightly dampened cloth. For general cleaning, add 1/4 cup of white vinegar to 1 quart of warm water
- Dip a clean cloth or sponge mop and wring nearly dry
- Clean floor and wipe dry with a towel as you go
- Floor protector pads should be placed on the bottoms of the legs of furniture
- On no account should the floor be ‘sluiced down'
- Rolling furniture should be fixed with soft rubber chair casters.
