INSTALLING PEGRO FLOORING
 |
Pergo flooring is available as planks and engineered flooring composed of laminated strips. It is fairly durable, extremely easy to clean, and installing Pergo flooring is easy. There are two types of flooring offered, glue and glue-less. No matter what type of flooring you choose to install, you will need a plastic vapor barrier, a saw, and padding. If you choose the glue model, you will need other supplies, such as tightening straps and tapping block. |
|
- Your first step should be to measure the area and purchase the material you will need.
- Once your materials have been purchased and your area has been measured, your next step is to do a rough layout.
- The next step in Pergo flooring installation is making sure the sub-floor is dry, clean, and level.
- Pergo flooring may be glued down using a moisture barrier flooring adhesive. After applying the adhesive to the sub-floor with a trowel, the Pergo flooring planks should be immediately placed.
- You may also install Pergo flooring using a nail gun over plywood or particleboard.
- After installing the Pergo flooring, you will care for it in a similar way to hardwood floors; frequent dusting/sweeping, occasionally mopping, and use of cleaners.
